The Higg Index platform was established as a global initiative to promote sustainable production practices across the textile and apparel industry, bringing together leading brands and manufacturers from around the world, including Turkey. At Promar, we proudly participate in key modules of the platform, namely the HIGG Facility Environmental Module (FEM) and the HIGG Facility Social & Labor Module (FSLM), demonstrating our commitment to transparency and continuous improvement.

Since joining the Higg Index in 2017, we have actively monitored and enhanced our operational processes through the insights and benchmarks provided by the platform. This transparency allows us to identify areas of strength and opportunities for growth, fueling our ongoing dedication to elevating sustainability standards year after year.

In our journey with the HIGG FEM module, we achieved a 64.4% success rate in 2017, which notably increased to 77.5% by 2020. This significant improvement underscores Promar’s growing effectiveness in meeting and exceeding environmental goals, reflecting our unwavering commitment to reducing our ecological footprint and optimizing resource use.

Looking ahead, Promar will continue to engage deeply with the Higg Index FEM and other prominent global environmental and social responsibility platforms. Our aim is to further minimize our environmental impacts and enhance our sustainability performance while maintaining full transparency with our stakeholders. By doing so, we reinforce our role as a responsible industry leader dedicated to fostering a more sustainable future for the textile sector and the communities we serve.
